Phil is a native of Pueblo Colorado, he has always had the natural ability to sing and play guitar since the age of ten. He grew up playing in bars with his father's country band. Living in Nashville, Phil is a full-time writer and working musician.
Phil has been featured in several guitar magazines. One publication noted Phil has an amazing ability with melodies. Guitar Player Magazine confirms his talent by saying, "On top of this he adds a great well-developed solo jazz guitar background. What can I say, Phil plays music, not just guitar."

Phil "Bone Man" Frye has been playing bass professionally for 30 years. His musical career began in Charleston, West Virginia, performing with various local bands. Over the years, Phil has shared the stage or performed with, Clinton Gregory, Kevin Paige (80's pop Artist), Bad Company, Sara Evans, Janie Fricke, George Jones, Cody McCarver, Lorrie Morgan, among others. Phil has recorded with Novo Combo guitarist Jack Griffith. Phil extends his thanks and gratitude to Nashville producer and bass guitar studio session God, Kevin "Swine" Grantt, for his mentoring and the opening of many doors.
In addition to playing music, Phil is a professional gunsmith who owns a gunsmith shop in Charleston, West Virginia. Phil also ran for Governor of West Virginia in 2004, which lead to the collapse of the current Governor at the time. Phil came in 4th in the race. His campaign slogn: Philip Frye for Governor, "I'll do my job, not my staff".
